Pizza with Duck and Plum Sauce

With pizza you can go so many ways, it’s really a versatile dish. This pizza with duck is an upgrade from the regular pizza. It’s not that hard to prepare, but the duck gives the pizza just that little bit extra. The duck pizza with plum sauce is divine, it’s the combination of plum sauce and duck that makes it perfect.

Next to duck and plum sauce, there’s (homemade) pizza dough, green onion and cucumber. The green onion and cucumber give an extra crunch to the pizza. The recipe is from the cookbook ‘1 deeg, 100 pizza’s’ from Rachel Carter.

Review

This pizza is super delicious. I used only 2 green onions, instead of a whole bunch. The recipe asked for 250 grams of plum sauce, I only used 175 grams.

Allergies: gluten, wheat, poultry.

Ingredients

Pizza dough for 2 pizza’s

300 grams duck

1 teaspoon five spices powder

Salt

Pepper

175 grams plum sauce

2 green onions

½ cucumber

Instructions

Make two round pizza’s from the pizza dough. Chop the green onions in rings. Slice the cucumber.

Carve the duck with a few incisions. Rub the duck with ½ teaspoon of five spices powder. Season with pepper and salt.

Bake the duck in a preheated 220°/428°F oven for 20 minutes.

Let the duck cool down for 5 minutes. Slice the duck in strips. Cover the duck slices with 50 grams of plum sauce.

Cover the 2 pizza crusts with the remaining plum sauce. Top with the duck, half of the green onion and ½ teaspoon of five spices powder.

Bake the pizza in a preheated 220°C/428°F oven for 12 minutes. Serve the pizza’s topped with cucumber and more green onion.
