Hawaiian pizza

Hawaiian Pizza

You either love it, or hate it: pineapple on your pizza. We love it, although Yuri didn’t at first, but now he likes it. This Hawaiian pizza is a classic! The recipe I used this time is from the cookbook ‘Van Piepers tot Pasta’ by Blue Band. Blue Band is a brand that among other things sells butter.

This pizza with ham, onion and pineapple isn’t the first pizza recipe on the blog. There’s already the Cheeseburger Stuffed Pizza, Bread Pizza, Hamburger Pizza and Oatmealpizza with grilled eggplant and anchovy. Another great dish from the oven is a Peach Dutch Baby. It’s also perfect as an easy vacation meal.

Review

The pizza was delicious. I used a bought pizza crust, tomato ketchup instead of tomato sauce. Didn’t have the time that day to make pizza dough. The recipe was clear and easy to follow.

Allergies: gluten, wheat, meat, pineapple, tomato.

Ingredients

1 roll of pizza dough

6 tbsp tomato ketchup

10 grams ham in strips

1 onion

1 can of pineapple pieces

Instructions

Roll pizza dough out. I covered the pizza crust with tomato ketchup. I topped the pizza with onion, pineapple and ham.

Bake in a 180°C/355°F preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Notes:

  • Recipe source is cookbook ‘Van Piepers tot Pasta’.
  • Enough for 3 persons.
  • The tomato ketchup can be replaced with tomato sauce.
  • You can also make your own pizza dough or bread dough instead of a cooled pizza crust.

  1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE pizza with pineapple (and even go so far as to add in broccoli — my kids love the combo too!) so people can make fun of it all they want, because I’m secure in the knowledge of what’s delicious and nutritious!

  2. My daughter loves Hawaiian pizza. We usually make our own so she can always get what she wants (and this is it).

  3. I was like Yuri, but then I built up a liking to Pineapple on my Pizza too! Hey, it’s full of vitamin C and is super good for you so one could argue it might even make pizza healthier.. lol
