It’s Halloween month in real life and here on Cosette is Cookin’. We’ll kick off with these horror fingers. An easy to prepare recipe, with only 4 ingredients and that is cheap. We love Halloween at our house, so baking and cooking Halloween themed dishes is one of the fun things we love to do in October. Over the years we’ve prepared many Halloween shaped cakes, cookies, drinks, snacks and dinners. All being delicious and fun to prepare. These horror fingers or witch fingers are no exception.
The four ingredients needed are grissini or bread sticks, red bell pepper, cream cheese and tomato ketchup. The grissini are the fingers, the bell pepper are the nails, the cream cheese is the glue and tomato ketchup serves as blood. All 4 ingredients combine well. It’s a no-bake recipe, no oven or stove is needed. Kids can easily prepare these by themselves. It did however look less creepy than I would have liked too.

Horror Fingers
Allergies: gluten, wheat, dairy, bell pepper, tomatoes.
Ingredients
6 grissini or bread sticks
1/8 red bell pepper
Cream cheese
Tomato ketchup
Instructions
Break the grissini or bread sticks in half, in such a way that you have ragged edges.
Slice the bell pepper in stripes, about a centimeter in width. Cut out finger nails.
With a bit of cream cheese glue the bell pepper nails to the grissini or bread sticks. Glue it to the round part, leaving the ragged part on the bottom.
Place the fingers on a plate. Drip tomato ketchup on the edges to make it appear as blood.
