Continuing with the Halloween recipes, today I have a gruesome recipe for you. A severed hand meatloaf looks scary, but is luckily really delicious. We loved it, the meatloaf was perfect for dinner. It’s a regular meatloaf shaped like an arm with barbecue sauce and almonds. As a surprise boiled eggs are hidden inside.

The meatloaf is made with bread crumbs, milk, ground meat, egg, salt, pepper, tomato ketchup, onion and parsley. The flavorful meatloaf is stuffed with boiled eggs. Spicy barbecue sauce serves as the blood. Almonds are the nails of the fingers.

Ingredients
3 to 4 tablespoons spicy barbecue sauce
5 almonds
1 tablespoon bread crumbs
2 tablespoons milk
750 grams ground meat
1 large egg
Salt
Pepper
3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
1 onion
1 tablespoon parsley
3 boiled eggs
Instructions
Soak the bread crumbs in the milk. Chop the onion and the parsley. Peel the 3 boiled eggs.
In a bowl add an egg, tomato ketchup, onion, parsley and the milk with bread crumbs to the ground meat. Season with salt and pepper. Knead the meat so it’s all well-seasoned.
Make a small layer of ground meat in a cake mold. Place the boiled eggs on the ground meat. Cover with more ground meat, the eggs need to be hidden.
Add extra ground meat on one side. Shape into 5 fingers. Place almonds on each finger.
Bake in a preheated 180°C/350°F oven for 50 minutes. Drain the fat from the meatloaf. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Place on a board. Drip with the spicy barbecue sauce on the side of the arm, make it look like blood.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
- Enough for 3 to 4 persons as a side dish for dinner.
- Tomato ketchup can also serve as blood instead of barbecue sauce.
