In week 48 2022 we had homecooked meals and I prepared the last Halloween recipes I still had on my baking schedule. We also had a birthday and celebrated Sinterklaas.

Week 48 2022

Monday

On Monday Paul prepared endive stamppot with on vegetarian satay schnitzel for us. The same as the week before. Stamppot is such a good comfort food.

Tuesday

Yuri was supposed to prepare dinner, but our sink was clogged. After Paul fixed that he made us fries, snacks and kaassouflé’s in the deep-fryer.

Wednesday

In the morning I turned on my slowcooker and placed everything in it so we would have erwtensoep (split pea soup) in the afternoon. We love erwtensoep, it’s a true comfort food. I also prepared caramel ice cream popsicles.

Thursday

The first of December so I started my advent calendars. I have a Pickwick, a Lipton and a Rittersport one. Love having a different flavor of tea each day until Christmas.

I turned on my slowcooker again and made another batch of erwtensoep. It turned my caramel ice cream popsicles into mummy-icles.

My mom-in-law had her birthday this day. We had Chinese take out for dinner. There was speculaas bundt cake and apple pie. I had a piece of the speculaas bundt cake.

Friday

I baked 3 round red velvet cakes to assemble a cake with. We had the erwtensoep I prepared on Thursday. We had it with krentebollen (currant buns) with cheese on them. In the evening we got our Christmas tree from Hornbach.

Saturday

I made a monster-icle from the last red velvet ice cream popsicle I still had.

At the end of the afternoon I made us a cheese and meat platter. Dinner was a broccoliburger with kroepoek on the side.

Sunday

More delicious tea and chocolate from the advents calendars

In parts during the day I prepared a red velvet cake and then made a maneater cake from it.

In the afternoon we went to the Koekenbakkers with my parents and sister for Sinterklaas. It’s a pancake restaurant. I had a kapsalon pancake and chocolate mousse. We’ve been going here for years with Sinterklaas and love it.

So that was a week with the last Halloween bakings.
