Homemade soup is the best! Paul prepared this recipe for homemade tomato soup for us around Sinterklaas, but the soup is suitable all year long. Then instead of drawing a miter just make a swirl with the crème fraiche, it won’t change anything flavor wise.

This homemade tomato soup with fresh tomatoes, has more than just tomatoes in it. Carrot, bell peppers and onion are the vegetables in the soup. Garlic, thyme, tomato paste and beef broth add flavor. The finishing touch is the crème fraiche, which makes for a homemade tomato soup that’s creamy. The recipe is from the Allerhande website.
Serve the soup with Grilled Cheese Sticks. Other delicious Sinterklaas recipes are Apricot Puff Pastry Letter or Spiced Cupcakes.
Review
Paul made two changes to the recipe, he replaced garlic cloves with garlic powder. We don’t always have garlic cloves in the house. He used one table of beef broth instead of two. We usually think that’s strong and salty enough.
