A healthy and delicious weekday meal is Fried rice with Broccoli. Add devilish chicken drumsticks and you have a complete meal with a bit of a kick. You can make rice from broccoli, but in this Fried Rice with Broccoli recipe, I have chosen to combine the two. They form a perfect combination!
How to make fried rice with broccoli? Stir-fry boiled rice with broccoli and garlic. Add pepper, salt and cilantro for flavor. The chicken is made devilish by adding pepper, salt, Tabasco and tomato ketchup.

Fried Rice with Broccoli
Allergies: broccoli, cilantro.
Ingredients
600 grams chicken drumsticks
Tabasco
3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
6 tablespoons olive oil
400 grams rice
600 grams broccoli
2 cloves of garlic
6 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Instructions
Rup the chicken with pepper, salt, some drops of Tabasco and tomato ketchup. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and cook the chicken until done.
Prepare the rice in a rice cooker. If you don’t have a rice cooker, than boil the rice according to the package instructions, drain and rinse.
Cut the broccoli in florets. Chop the garlic finely. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a wok and stir-fry the broccoli for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and rice and stir-fry for another 5 minutes. Season with pepper, salt and half of the cilantro.
Serve the chicken with the fried rice with broccoli. Add some of the tomato oil from the frying pan. Top with the remaining cilantro.

- Enough for 4 persons.
- If you’re not a cilantro fan. Parsley can be swapped for cilantro.
This is so easy and I had all the ingredients in the cupboard. I nice change-up from the standard grill and BBQ sauce meal. I love the kick the Tabasco sauce gives.
