Yesterday I published a salmon recipe that can be served with a dill mustard sauce. So here’s the recipe for mustard dill sauce for salmon. Salmon with dill mustard sauce is a perfect New Year’s Recipe, but it is delicious all year long. We loved this sauce in combination with salmon.
The recipe comes from the cookbook Sfeervol December from Sonja van de Rhoer. It’s a simple sauce to prepare, a cold sauce that can be whipped up in minutes. It’s a mix of vinegar, sugar, mustard, dill, sunflower oil, salt and pepper. You don’t need to heat it.
The sauce goes perfect with the Gravad Lax Recipe. It would also be perfect with the Pancake Rolls with Salmon. It will also go well with other fish recipes. The sauce would also be great with this Soybean Salad instead of the Pesto dressing.
I prepared only a quarter of the original recipe, that was enough sauce for the gravid lax. We loved the sauce.

Dill Mustard Sauce (for Salmon)
Allergies: mustardseeds, sugar.
1.5 tablespoons vinegar
2.75 tablespoons sugar
3.5 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons dill
0.5 dl sunflower oil
Chop the dill finely.
In a bowl combine vinegar, sugar, mustard and dill.
Add the sunflower oil bit by bit, while keeping on stirring the sauce. Don’t add the oil at once or in large portions, since than it won’t become a solid sauce.
Season with salt and pepper.
Serve the dill mustard sauce with salmon.
