The whole of week 18 in 2021 we were on our Fletcher Road Trip. We had a fun vacation, with rain pouring down, overcast skies and sunshine as well. So typical Dutch weather and a typical Dutch vacation. Be prepared for lots of food photos.

In the morning we started our day getting something from the breakfast buffet downstairs. Paul still had to work on Monday, so we had a late check out. We ordered two lunch packages with different sandwiches and bananabread at the hotel. We ate them in our room and drove to the next hotel; Klein Zwitserland in Heelsum. We had a stop at a bakery in Overloon and sat down at a terrace in Wijchen. In the evening we had a 3-course dinner in our hotel room. Mustardsoup, salmon and a Brie Salad. As main we had ravioli, the Fletcher burger and risotto. For dessert we had tiramisu and grilled pineapple.

We started with a breakfast buffet with all sorts of delicious items at the hotel. Paul and I drove the ANWB Zuid-Veluweroute, which was not that far from the hotel. We had ordered roomservice (placed outside the room) for lunch for Yuri. Paul had a twaalf uurtje at the room when we got back. As dinner we had salads, Skyr and other foods from the supermarket.

In the morning we had breakfast in our room collected from the buffet. At around 10/10.30am we left for our next hotel and the last one on our Fletcher Road Trip, hotel Amsterdam-Loosdrechtse Plassen. On the way we had some hot choc, tea and coffee from ‘t Smulhuis at Otterlo. Lunch with McDonald’s, KFC and Starbucks in our car at Amersfoort De Wieken. In the afternoon we enjoyed the Fletcher borrelpakket at our hotel room. We had a hotel room with a terrace and a perfect view on the lake. In the evening we had a 3-course dinner at our hotel room on our terrace. As the first course 3 ways salmon, pate and soup. The main course was plaice and spaghetti. Dessert was a meringue dish and krentenbrood. It was all delicious.

Third hotel so a slightly different breakfast, but again delicious. During the day Paul and I went to Paul’s office and had homemade kibbeling for lunch. For dinner we had sushi and satay from A-Fusion Loosdrecht. It was expensive, but so delicious.

Enjoying the breakfast buffet for the last time at a Fletcher hotel. It was the last day of our Fletcher Road Trip, but not of our vacation. We booked another two nights at the Amrâth Hotel in Hilversum. Before arriving there we had lunch at Restaurant Noord-Brabant in the small town of Vreeland. We had a kapsalon pancake, ginger-cheese pancake and a ham-cheese pancake. Then we stopped at Ottenhome by the water and had a charcutterie board. After we arrived at our hotel we had a Baileys and an Irish Coffee on the terrace.

Paul and I drove the third of the tulpenroutes at Flevoland. But first we had breakfast at the restaurant. Since this is a training hotel they were allowed to serve us breakfast inside the restaurant. On our road trip we had coffee, tea and burgers in our car from Grand Café 4 Seasons at Dronten. When we returned to the hotel we had a bittergarnituur with a drink.

Mother’s Day, so I got to choose what we did that day. We started with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, and ended the morning on the terrace of our hotel. Had lunch there with a bagel, omelet and an egg sunny side-up. We went terrace hopping in the afternoon. Second terrace was Restaurant De Rading with cheesecake and a stuffed pancake. We had a lot of rain while sitting on the terrace. Third stop was Café Moeke where we just had something to drink. The final stop was Restaurant Helden where we had regular fries and sweet potato fries.
