Week 4 2023
I used my new cookbook with hamburgers and prepared a hamburger Ireland beef in beer with coleslaw for dinner.
For dinner I prepared risonni with caramelized onion and blue cheese for us from the cookbook Het Complete Pastakookboek (The Complete Pasta Cookbook).
Another recipe from the cookbook Het Complete Pastakookboek. I made the vegetarian lasagna. It was a lot, so I could only get half of the ingredients in my casserole dish. It took a lot of time to prepare, but was really delicious.
A simple weeknight meal this Thursday, I made endivie stamppot with a vegetarian satay schnitzel. Which is a Dutch traditional comfort food.
On Wednesday I could only make half of the vegetarian lasagna, since my dish was not large enough. I prepared a second vegetarian lasagna with the other half of the ingredients I still had.
Yuri prepared brownies, since he had a craving for them. I prepared speculaasmannetjes (Gingerbreadmen).
In the afternoon we went to Paul’s parents. We had dinner together, my mother-in-law made vegetables soup and a sauerkraut pie. Both were delicious.
As breakfast I prepared parsley-pancakes stuffed with vegetables. They were delicious.
We had a party, because my aunt and uncle celebrated 50 years of marriage. They invited all the family and it was fun to see everyone again. At the party they served a buffet with fries, snacks, satay and baguette.
So that was a week with a lot of homecooked meals and a family filled weekend.
